About Omeez®

As a fashion conscious woman in my 40's, I am still quite young in heart and spirit. While enjoying and living a beautiful and fulfilling life as the stay-at-home mom of three school-aged children, I was inspired to create my own fashion line of woman's accessories.....OMEEZ®. As an Oregonian, and the daughter of ex-hippie parents, I have always been inspired by fun, unique, trendy, innovative and glamorous fashions. To economize and stay within a modest budget, I've had to learn to tweak my wardrobe and gift giving. By utilizing old jewelry to accessorize my favorite, comfortable, old pair of jeans, rather than spend big bucks to acquire new jeans with some half-hearted jewels glued onto them, I discovered innovative ways to inexpensively make a powerful fashion statement. I'm the kind of gal that would rather shop at second hand and consignment shops, antique shops, and small, personalized boutiques to create my own sense of style and expression.

One day, while dressing, I noticed that I lacked just the "right-kind" of boots to complement my fun, cool outfit. I was seeking that powerful "OOMPH" factor. So, I took a pair of old, funky looking, knitted socks and after removing the foot portion, I folded the top of the socks over my boots...."VOILA"! Now my outfit looked great. Everywhere I traveled that day people noticed and commented on how cute and fun my boots were and inquired, "where did you get them"? On that day, my idea for OMEEZ®, the adjustable boot and sleeve toppers, was born.

I'm often asked, "How did you come up with the name, OMEEZ®"? Well, it was a no brainer for me. While I was attempting to figure out how to best sew my new innovation, I called my German Grandma, "Omi", who herself was a talented seamstress in her earlier years. My Omi spent three days at my home working on my boot toppers to ensure the optimal size, shape, look and feel. Since I was passionate about my product, I decided to dedicate my first fashion line to someone whom I love, admire and respect.....my Omi.......thus the name, OMEEZ®.
